Bethesda offers a wide variety of effective and relevant services to individuals with special needs in a professional and caring manner.
For adults who are 18 years of age and over with a developmental disability, we offer the following:
BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT SERVICES are for individuals who reside in the Niagara region and require acute and/or chronic behaviour interventions.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT SERVICES are for individuals who reside in the Niagara region and would like assistance coping with the emotional and uncomfortable topics of death, dying, and funerals.
DUAL DIAGNOSIS JUSTICE PROGRAM is for individuals who reside in the region of Niagara, Brant, Hamilton, or Haldimand/Norfolk and have both a developmental disability and a mental health problem and have been or are currently involved in the justice system.
COMMUNITY RESPONSE PROGRAM is for individuals who reside in the Niagara, Hamilton, Brant, or Haldimand/Norfolk regions and are experiencing urgent behavioural challenges significant enough to potentially place them or others at risk.
RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT SERVICES offer residential options in Niagara to individuals from the Niagara, Hamilton, Brant, or Haldimand/Norfolk regions. Options include:
- Family Home
- Group Homes
- Supported Independent Living (SIL)
DAY ACTIVITIES, RECREATION AND LEISURE PROGRAMS allow us to encourage our clients in a variety of enjoyable interests and pastimes which are designed to support their physical, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs. Programs include:
- Chaplaincy
- Day Activities
- Drama Program
- Music Therapy
- Recreation
RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES are either short term or long term depending on the nature and severity of the individual’s behavioural challenges. Both services involve interventions tailored to the client’s needs.
RESPITE SERVICES are available for families who need temporary care for an adult family member who has special needs and lives at home.TWIN LAKES CLINICAL SERVICES is one of our outreach programs for adults who reside in the region of Niagara, Hamilton, Brant or Haldimand/Norfolk and require specialized clinical services. The program is run collaboratively with Regional Support Associates. Services available include psychiatry, psychology, and speech and language services, as well as various other consultations and supports.
