DUAL DIAGNOSIS JUSTICE CASE MANAGEMENT

WHO is this for?
Bethesda’s Dual Diagnosis Justice Case Management…

…is for individuals who have a developmental disability and a psychiatric disorder and have been or are currently involved in the justice system. This program is available to those individuals over the age 18 and who reside in the region of Niagara, Brant, Hamilton or Haldimand/Norfolk.


WHAT is provided?
Bethesda’s Dual Diagnosis Justice Case Management…

…provides short term yet intensive supports to individuals in the following areas:

  • Support for clients as they go through the process of legal aid
  • Help to clients to obtain necessary documents such as a health card
  • Help to clients to obtain social assistance
  • Assurance that recommended supports are put into place such as required assessments, behavioural and medical interventions
  • Monitoring and encouragement to comply with treatment measures
  • Education and assistance with daily living activities
  • Escorting to appointments or rehab programs
  • Development of a service plan with input from the individual and other relevant supporting persons
  • Education on dual diagnosis
