…are for children under the age of 18 who reside in the Niagara Region who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.


WHAT is provided?
Bethesda's Autism Consultation Services (ACS)…
…provide consultation, support and education to families and agencies that support children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and may involve any of the following:

1. Brief Consultation
   • Education about the child's diagnosis
   • Discussion about possible interventions strategies
2. Collaborative Consultation
   • Discussion of intervention strategies with the child’s professional support team and family
   • Development of intervention strategies
   • Evaluation of  intervention strategies
3. Case Specific Consultation
   
   • Conduct a Comprehensive Assessment
   • Development of an Individualized Intervention Plan
   • Provide support as required
4. Education
   • Provide information to families or agencies about Autism Spectrum Disorders, social skills, anger management, etc.
   • Provide resource materials to families or agencies
